245G Co-Occurring Disorders Training Minnesota

Minnesota’s 245G licensing standards require every treatment director, supervisor, nurse, and counselor at a licensed substance use disorder treatment program to complete at least 12 hours of co-occurring disorders training — and new staff must finish it within six months of hire (Minn. Stat. 245G.13, subd. 2(f)). CareCertify’s Co-Occurring Disorders 12-Hour Series is built to meet that requirement end to end: twelve one-hour lessons that cover every competency the statute names — philosophy, trauma-informed care, screening, assessment, diagnosis and person-centered treatment planning, documentation, programming, medication, collaboration, mental health consultation, and discharge planning.
