Autism Spectrum Caregiving is an essential aspect of supporting individuals with autism as they navigate daily life. Caregivers play a crucial role in fostering an environment that promotes understanding, communication, and skill development. By employing tailored strategies and resources, caregivers can significantly enhance the quality of life for those on the spectrum. The commitment to providing compassionate and informed support is vital in facilitating meaningful connections and empowering individuals with autism. A 12-lesson caregiver course on understanding and supporting autistic people, for professional caregivers and direct support professionals (usable in home-care, disability, and residential settings). Developed from current CDC data, the DSM-5-TR framework, FDA guidance, and peer-reviewed research. **General caregiver education — not medical advice, diagnosis, or a treatment protocol. Current as of July 2026.**
Each module includes: narrated slide deck (21 slides, Narakeet-ready notes), 30-question quiz (CSV, 80% pass), participant guide (DOCX + PDF), completion certificate, training log, course description, and thumbnail.

## How sensitive topics are handled (responsibly)
– **Stem cells (AUT-11):** presented as **not FDA-approved for autism, unproven** (a large rigorous trial found no benefit over placebo), and carrying **serious documented risks** (infections, tumors, blindness) — *not* endorsed. Caregivers are taught to recognize “cure” red flags and steer families to their doctor and reputable sources. Also flags chelation, MMS/bleach, and “detox” as dangerous.
– **Special diets / GFCF (AUT-08):** presented with the real evidence — **insufficient evidence for autism’s core symptoms**, possible benefit only for a GI subgroup (mixed, weak studies), and **real risks of restriction** (nutrient deficiencies). Decisions belong to the family and medical team (with a dietitian); the caregiver follows the plan.
– Throughout: neurodiversity-affirming, presumes competence, respects stimming and communication, avoids “cure”/functioning-label framing.
