Vulnerable Adults Act & Mandated Reporting is the cornerstone annual refresher for Minnesota 245D programs. Direct support professionals and designated managers learn the Vulnerable Adults Act (§626.557), who qualifies as a vulnerable adult, and the four categories of maltreatment — abuse, neglect, financial exploitation, and risk. The course teaches how to recognize warning signs, the individual legal duty to report suspected maltreatment immediately to MAARC (1-844-880-1574), internal reporting and agency responsibilities under §245D.06 and §245A.65, good-faith reporter protections, data privacy when reporting, and the program and individual abuse prevention plans. A 28-question bank (draw 10, 80% to pass) and a printable Participant Guide are included.
