DCC-M01 — The Leadership Backbone of 245D

Module 1, The Leadership Backbone of 245D, establishes who leads a 245D program and why. Minnesota Statutes 245D.081 makes the license holder responsible for two functions that must be staffed at all times: coordination of each individual's services (the Designated Coordinator) and program-wide management and oversight (the Designated Manager). DCs and DMs learn all four statutory DC duties and all seven DM duties, the qualification pathways for each role — including the 2024 amendment to the DC education pathways — and how to build a DC/DM personnel file that survives a licensing review.
